Many other municipalities already provide this for their residents.

 

Dear Board of Supervisors,

 I am writing to formally request that South Hanover Township implement live video streaming and permanent digital archiving for all public Township Committee and Board meetings. Many residents would like to participate however due to work or family obligations, there is frequently a schedule conflict. Other residents have mobility limitations, or caretaking responsibilities that prevent them from attending in-person meetings held during standard business hours. Providing a digital viewing option—such as broadcasting to a video hosting platform—vastly improves community accessibility, civic engagement, and local government transparency. Several neighboring municipalities are already providing this service to their residents and are well received. A standard streaming setup requires minimal equipment which I believe the township already has in place. Please consider adding this item to the agenda for the upcoming June 23rd, 2026 meeting so this may be discussed by the board for implementation.
